Listed below is the Polk County arrest report for Tuesday February 24, 2015. The report includes a complete list of arrests, information regarding prior arrests, bonding information and available inmate photos. Unless specified otherwise, all information is obtained from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
The following individuals were arrested and charged with the violations listed below. Click on the embedded links within each list to view the complete prior arrests report. Links to arrests prior to 2009 will not be included.
Pedro Gonzalez Cruz, 31, of Cedartown was arrested and charged with driving while unlicensed. Cruz was released on 2/24 after posting a $1,400 property bond. See also (9/3/2013)
Dusky Tyrell Irby, 22, of Cedartown was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in municipal court. Irby remains in custody at the time of this publication. A $350 cash bond has been set. See also (8/13/2013)
Douglas Edmund Parker II, 25, of Cedartown was arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and defective equipment. Parker was released on 2/25 after posting property bonds totaling $8,600.
Marieo Shauntoyas Sims, 32, of Tallapoosa was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, aggravated stalking under the Family Violence Act (FVA), burglary (FVA), second degree criminal damage to property (FVA) and third degree cruelty to children (FVA). Rafael Sosa-Diaz, 27, of Cedartown was arrested in Floyd County and charged with driving while license suspended. See also (6/20/2014)
Laura Ann Thomas, 34, of Cartersville was arrested and charged with theft by conversion, theft by shoplifting and fraudulent attempts to obtain refunds. Thomas was released on 2/25 after posting property bonds totaling $6,100. See also (3/1/2013)
Scott David Thomas, 43, of Cartersville was arrested and charged with theft by conversion, theft by shoplifting and fraudulent attempts to obtain refunds. Thomas remains in custody at the time of this publication. Property bonds totaling $6,100 have been set. See also (5/21/2014)
Marquez Javon Ware, 26, of Rockmart was arrested on a warrant for probation violation. Ware remains in custody at the time of this publication. See also (11/29/2014)
