In Lake Worth, Florida a dog stuck in a storm culvert was rescued on Monday by firemen from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Station 93, reports wptv.com.
Area residents had reported sounds of a dog barking and seemingly in distress in the area near Detroit Street. According to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Captain Albert Borroto, firefighters used a ladder to climb down into the culvert to rescue the frightened pooch.
At this time, the dog’s owner has not been found. The dog was taken to a local veterinarian to be checked out and is currently in the care of Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control.
