The RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo made its debut in Kissimmee March 25-28, and will be coming back to be hosted there for the next 10 years! Loaded with breath-taking moments, stand stomping fun and affordable pricing, it is the perfect new addition to the family-centric events and attractions that Kissimmee is so well known for. The rodeo offered visiting families 4 nights of fun competition featuring the best of the best from the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association who came from regional rodeo competitions in the 12 national circuits.
The nation’s top cowboys and some tough as nails cowgirls competed in events including barrel racing, tie down roping, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle and bareback bronc riding, team rope heeling and the not-to-be-missed bull riding! There is plenty to see at the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo, and even more to love. The excitement of the fans and cowboys alike is practically palpable with each new ride. The rodeo clowns kept the fans in stitches all night, and on more than one occasion risked their own health to save the cowboys from a less than pleasant bull and bronc.
The RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo offers full day entertainment for visiting families. Even though there may only be a single rodeo ticket event each day, there are plenty of other activities to partake in. The kid’s “fun zone” was packed with inflatables of all kinds. An obstacle course, bounce house, bouncy slide, rock climbing wall and even inflatable laser tag kept kids busy all day, and there is no additional cost to access this area.
Also held the weekend of the finals was the first annual Florida Heritage Barbecue Classic. What did this mean? So much delicious BBQ available throughout the entire weekend for visiting fans! True southern comfort food at its best. Live music and “fan zone” complete with no-cost activities like a mechanical bull and photo booth rounded out the fun available at the rodeo.
The entire weekend’s competitions led up to the final round held on Saturday evening. The top four competitors had been narrowed down in each event, and they gathered to duke it out for the win! Some were limping, battered and bruised from previous night’s competitions, but they pushed it to the back and gave the crowd a show, resulting in this years’ finals champs.
