Phaedra Parks has a tumultuous relationship with some of her “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” co-stars so perhaps it isn’t that surprising that she feels that some of them weren’t really there for her in her greatest time of need. In an interview with BravoTV.com, posted on Monday, November 10, Phaedra revealed who reached out to her when she was going through her drama with soon-to-be ex-husband Apollo Nida and who didn’t.
Phaedra said that both NeNe Leakes and Porsha Williams have been “extremely supportive of [her] and very attentive throughout this entire ordeal,” for which she is very grateful for. Both NeNe and Porsha have gone through their own marital problems so perhaps they felt extra compassion for Phaedra? NeNe and her husband, Gregg Leakes, separated and divorced before getting married again. Porsha recently went through a divorce with Kordell Stewart.
As for the others, Phaedra feels as if they just spoke about her situation for their own interests. “Unfortunately, some of the others decided to use my personal crisis as an opportunity to further their own interests and talk to the media to get press for themselves. The lack of compassion was, at times, shocking,” she said.
Considering that Phaedra and Kenya Moore have verbally fought both on and off the show for years, especially when it comes to Apollo, it’s safe to assume Phaedra feels as if Kenya is one of those who just talked about her in order to get press attention for herself. Phaedra may also feel the same about Cynthia Bailey, who is now friends with Kenya after her falling out with NeNe.
Shockingly, since they seem to be such good friends both on and off the show, Phaedra didn’t mention Kandi Burruss as being one of the supportive housewives. Does she feel as if Kandi, whose husband Todd Tucker is good friends with Apollo, abandoned her? Yet both Phaedra and Kandi have continued to praise each other on social media so that doesn’t seem to be the case. Perhaps Phaedra didn’t name Kandi specifically because she just assumed that everyone would know that they have each other’s backs no matter what?
In her latest blog post for “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” posted on Tuesday, November 11, Kandi Burruss admitted that it’s a bit difficult being caught between Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida. Yet she maintained that she’ll always be Phaedra’s friend. “At the end of the day Phaedra is my girl…Sometimes we have a difference of opinion, but it’s not because I’m taking anyone’s side against her. Never that!” she wrote.
