Santa Claus arrives at the Gettysburg Village Outlets today, Nov. 22 for the Christmas season. So, if you want to be extra sure to land a spot on the nice list, come on out and meet him for his arrival.
Santa will be making his rounds into Gettysburg Village at 10 a.m. via horse and carriage. Once you’ve had a chance to meet and greet the man in person, head on over to the Food Court for a day of games, crafts, prizes, and of course Santa visits. Festivities will continue on through 1 p.m.
In honor of the grand opening of the new Columbia Sportswear® store at Gettysburg Village, the first 100 visitors to meet Santa will be given a free pair of children’s Columbia Sportswear mittens. Columbia Sportswear is also offering a special 25% off every purchase, this weekend only as well as a chance to win five $150 Columbia Gift Cards. All entries earn a free water bottle, while supplies last, and the drawings will be held on Nov. 24.
Following Santa’s arrival at the Outlet Shoppes, you will have an opportunity to take your own carriage ride for a short duration of the afternoon. But if you don’t get to this time, don’t despair. The holiday season, which will continue its official holiday kickoff Black Friday weekend will be offering up complimentary carriage rides on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Pickup will be located behind the Food Court. These carriage rides will continue Nov. 28 through Dec. 20.
In addition to the complimentary carriage rides taking place on weekends, this year Gettysburg Village is also offering up complimentary trackless train rides. Ongoing on Saturdays and Sundays, Nov. 29 through Dec. 21, these rides will take place between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. with the same pickup location as the carriage rides.
Now that Santa is making his annual stop in at Gettysburg, he’ll be here to stay all season long. Santa will keep his regular holiday schedule so he can hear from your kids about what they want this season and even take a photo with them by an onsite photographer, if parents so choose to have one done. All children who come to visit will receive a special prize. Santa will be available noon to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays. He will also be onsite on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 22 and 23 from noon to 8 p.m.
Be sure to make a stop in at the Gettysburg Village Outlets this season to meet and greet Santa and get all your holiday shopping taken care of. Don’t forget the Black Friday deals that will be going on around town with special operational hours. Doors open at 10 p.m. Thanksgiving night for All Night Madness.
