Gemma thought surely that Juice was the only person who knew her evil secret about Tara’s death. She lived in fear of Juice ratting her out to Jax just to get into the club’s good graces. On last night’s, November 11, episode of “Sons of Anarchy” on FX, viewer’s found out that Gemma had much more to fear from her five-year-old grandson, Abel.
Writer, Kurt Sutter has been making the character of Jax’s son act stranger and stranger ever since he overheard Grandma Gemma confessing to baby brother Thomas that she killed Tara, but it was a horrible accident. She didn’t realize that Abel was standing just outside the doorway.
Abel’s teacher might have helped him to formulate his plan to get back at Grandma Gemma without even knowing it. When he arrived at school with a large scratch above his eye, the teacher asked how it happened. He told her that baby Thomas had done it.
The teacher explained to him that if an adult hurt him, they could get into big trouble with the police and that he should tell her if it ever happened. Kurt Sutter’s twisted mind then puts this child in a bathroom stall, jabbing a fork down his fore arm.
Next thing you know, Jax and Gemma are both called to the school because Abel has accused “Grandma” of doing this to his arm. Jax must also now deal with Child Protective Services and decided to move his kids back home with him and asked Wendy (Drea De Matteo) to come too.
Either Sutter has a heart, or he saw it as a great way to lead into Gemma’s take down. In a very emotional scene, Jax, played by Charlie Hunnam, sits Abel on his lap and begins to discuss his “Mommies” with him. “Remember how I told you that you came out of another Mommy’s tummy?” He asks the child, as Wendy looked on with tears. “That Mommy is Wendy.”
Sutter left many jaws dropped at the end of the show when Jax was tucking Abel into bed. Abel once again asked him if Wendy was his first Mommy. When Jax affirmed that she was, this young five year old asks, “Is that why Grandma killed my second Mommy, so my first Mommy could be here with me?”
Viewers will have to wait until next week to see what Jax thinks of this latest twist that Sutter has thrown into the “Final Ride” of the “Sons of Anarchy.” There are only a few episodes left and they are sure to be something fans will remember for years to come.
Tune in to FX on Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. CT to see where Sutter takes the crew of SAMCRO for the final episodes. Check out the SOA Facebook page or the Twitter page.
