DC-based urban wear and action sports brand sPACYcLOUd made an impact with its booth at Sneaker Con DC on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Washington DC Armory. Known as “The Greatest Sneaker Show on Earth,” Sneaker Con DC had over 10,000 attendees and 250 vendors who sold clothing, sneakers, and active gear.
sPACYcLOUd created buzz among patrons by introducing a new collection of tees and caps at the packed event, which can be found at www.spacycloud.com. sPACYcLOUd founder Tati Kolina spoke about some of the highlights from the convention saying, “Sneaker Con DC was a huge success! We had live music by JuyceeCAPPS, an amazing elektra dancer by the name of Kelly Cruiz, and met so many fans and made tons of new friends! We received overwhelmingly positive feed for our new styles that we debuted.”
sPACYcLOUd will next be at Funk Parade, a daylong collaborative celebration of the spirit of funk, which is alive in the music, art and performance of Washington, DC. on May 2, 2015. Tatiana expressed excitement when she said, “We can’t wait for Funk Parade! It’s supported by community leaders, musicians, artists, and over 100 local groups and businesses.” Last year’s inaugural Funk Parade was a huge success, with more than 30,000 participants. sPACYcLOUd will be collaborating with DC Wheels to provide live music and games for kids.
Funk Parade was begun by two people who love Washington, DC, live music, and the U Street neighborhood: Justin Rood, a lifelong DC resident, and Chris Naoum, whose organization Listen Local First has helped hundreds of musicians find audiences and gigs throughout the Washington area.
The project has since been embraced by dozens of local businesses, neighborhood groups, community leaders, musicians and artists, who have pledged their support to the event. They hope you will join them and the mighty Funk Parade.

sPACYcLOUd was created in 2012 by DC designer, Tatiana Kolina aka Tati, in collaboration with several artists. The visual aesthetic comes from the world of street dancers, hip hop artists, skaters, and freestyle bikers who like to be very expressive with their wardrobe. sPACYcLOUd was created with the guy in mind who chooses his own way to carve through life with that “Skate or Die” attitude, and loves to show it off; as well as that chick who lives by the rhythm of her own conga drum and wants to share her well traveled, stylish influence with the rest of the world.
