The award season is over, from the Golden Globes, The Grammy’s, to the Oscar’s, the red carpet has been rolled up and stored for its next appearance. Though the spring season is quite near, February is wrapping up in a wintery bow soon to thaw out as March tiptoes in. The winter weather was no different than what most are accustomed to in Philadelphia and across the U.S. In fact so far of 2015 there has been less snow than in 2014 where the snowstorms were back to back. Presently aside from the very low temperatures and cold winds this winter hasn’t been half bad. And of course, so many people are ready for spring which is around for such a short time, so why rush?! But naturally most people enjoy the warmer air, more opportunities to go outdoors, travel, wear your favorite outfit, plus more. So what stylish trends will come about this spring? For one, being your own unique self is plenty good but it’s also cool to discover what new fashions will arrive. In no particular order of favored items or prices, here are 5 spring style nominees:
When it comes to lipstick shades for spring it is easy to suggest brighter colors like hues of pink and red. Though a nude lip color for spring is an option as well. For the ladies no matter your facial shade there are lipsticks to compliment you. Specifically there’s my favorite by Maybelline New York Color Sensational lip color “Untainted Spice” for roughly $5. You can purchase cheap lipsticks at your local drugstore or stores like Walmart and Target.
Spring shoe of 2015
Cutout flats or any shoe with an unusual shape will be something to shop for in spring. A simple shoe is that is comfy is the way to go. Consider a cutout flat that has a solid color or a pair with fun prints on it (Target, Journee Collection- $39.99). Click here to check them out.
It’s always a fun idea to switch up your hairstyle whether you decide to cut it, color it, or something else different. Braids in many forms are a style that keeps you from over-styling and doing too much maintenance to your hair. For spring get braided or twisted up in hairstyles that are less fuss but way more fun.
“Jack-it-up” or spruce it up this spring in either your fave jacket from last year or something new. Consider this dark blue Duffle Jacket for $49.95 by H&M. The hood with the jacket is a nice touch on those soon to be cool mornings and when April rolls around, spring showers.
Head over Heels
For spring head/hair accessories are big. Specifically when it comes to hats on good or bad hair days, hats come in handy. Handy enough to grab and place on if you’re headed to the gym, running behind on going out for errands or out fora quick drink with friends. There are hat styles to suit various purposes. For a quiet spring day out when the sun is shining, rock a bowler hat. Here’s one for $12.80 at Forever 21.
There are no winners or losers here. Your style is your own, and that’s the only vote that counts!
