The Spurs vs. Clippers live stream and televised matchup features Game 2 of the 2015 NBA Playoffs from Los Angeles. In their first meeting, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and the Clippers dispelled notions that they might be playing the role of underdogs, for at least a game. Now they’ll look to continue proving they have what it takes to eliminate the reigning champions. San Antonio will try to grab a road win before heading back to the Alamodome as the live streaming online and TV coverage arrives Wednesday evening.
On April 22, ESPN.com reported that the Spurs are facing a few unique situations already in their latest quest for another championship. They last found themselves down 1-0 in a playoff series back in 2010 when the Phoenix Suns swept them out of the postseason. They also hadn’t lost a Game 1 since 2011 and had won 11-straight games prior to the Clippers taking the first game of this series. Los Angeles went on a 20-7 run in the third quarter and then never looked back, staying ahead double digits through the remainder of the game.
The All-Star dynamic duo of Chris Paul and Blake Griffin combined for 58 points in the Game 1 victory. An imposing DeAndre Jordan was also instrumental, as even Spurs reserve Manu Ginobli has mentioned just how intimidating Jordan is and how he makes players change their shots. The Clippers center is a frontrunner candidate for Defensive Player of the Year and for good reason. For the playoffs, he’s tied with Timofey Mozgov and LaMarcus Aldridge in blocks per game leaders, as each of them averages four per contest. Jordan finished fourth for the regular season in that category and led the league in blocks.
For San Antonio it will mean finding a way to score and shoot better as they were just 36.6% from the field in Game 1. Kawhi Leonard led the way with 18 points, while Parker, Duncan and Ginobli combined for just 31 total points. In tonight’s game, the Clipper still remain just slight favorites of 2-points at many books, as speculators expect the Spurs to bounce back from their issues in the first game. Tonight’s over/under points total is set at 207 points for the game at many books.
