Station Grill is an exciting “new american” restaurant located in great neck. The restaurant is overseen by renowned Executive Chef Milton Enriquez, a culinary pro who spent his early years at some of New York’s finest restaurants. He has also worked with some of america’s finest chefs such as Chef Brendan Walsh, Geoffrey Zakarian, Danny Meyer, and Neil Anis . Chef Enriqiquez, after years working in some of new york’s finest restaurants, has returned to his home on Long Island, working at Station Grill. Station Grill is large, and tastefully furnished, with a welcoming, and comfortable ambiance. The large floor to ceiling windows, the lighting and enjoyable piped in music provided a laid back, tranquil dining experience. Station Grill has an attractive fully stocked bar with wines, liquors, and beer. The main dining room has more than enough room for special occasions and events along with a charming full bar, and large flat screen tv. .
Chef Enriquez, discovered his passion for cooking and healthy high quality ingredients as a young boy. His culinary art is defined by inventive “new american cuisine”,utilizing farm fresh food and exciting flavors. At Station Grill, guests will find a culinary experience on par with the finest restaurants in New York City. Chef Enriquez is also known for his open friendly manner and enthusiasm which enhances the delightful atmosphere of Station Grill.. We visited the restaurant for dinner this past week. We discussed the menu with Reed Goldstein, the experienced, friendly, and knowledgeable, general manager. We chose the special Prix Fixe menu ,which offered three courses for under $30.00/
We began dinner with an assortment of appetizers:
Baby Spinach Salad w/grilled shitake mushrooms, crackling shallots and sherry vinaigrette,- The salad was fresh, colorful and crispy with a delicious white balsamic dressing
Chopped Vegetable Salad- romaine lettuce, maytag blue cheese and white balsamic dressing- Colorful and delicious.
A basket of special petite buttery cake like bisquits were also served with the meal.
We next sampled two generously portioned and sensational entrees:
Grilled Prime Flat iron steak- w/roasted bliss potatoes, bell peppers, spinach and red wine sauce- Perfectly prepared medium rare, juicy and tender.
Roasted Organic Chicken- An exceptionally succulent chicken that melted in your mouth. The chicken was prepared with lightly browned skin and aromatic thick juicy white meat. The chicken was served withGigantic Beans, Bitter Greens, Braised Eggplant, Natural Jus/ Simply sensational.
We also sampled a amall plate of Dry Diver Scallops with israeli couscous, melted leeks, with a curry medra emulsion. They were out of this world delicious…
We also sampled grilled asparagus with a poached egg atop. Different and delicious as well.
We finished our dinner meal with an ssortment of housemade desserts:
A liquid chocolaire cake- a large brownie with a luscious liquid chocolate topping. accompanied by a delicious small scoop of caramel ice cream.
Vanilla Pannacotta- Spectacularly delicious and a perfect visual delight atop a raspberry compote.
We enjoyed a perfect evening of culinary delights, with delicious farm to table and boat to table ingredients, expertly prepared by a dynamic young chef. Station Grill offers an urban chic dining experience for the family, an intimate romantic night for couples, as well as a perfect venue for occasions, meetings and special events
