A pack of stray dogs’ funeral visit to an animal caretaker is touching the globe this week. Several canines paid tribute to Margarita Suarez in Cuernavaca Morelos, Mexico. During her service inside the funeral home, they all sat vigilantly guarding over her. It was Patricia Urrutia — Suarez’s daughter — who told ABC News about the event and how the dogs paid their respects.
Aside from this amazing story, the stray dogs at the funeral weren’t the same ones that the 71-year-old woman cared for. Suarez’s funeral service was held 830 miles away from where she looked after the dogs in Merida Yucatan. Urritia says: “They stayed with my mother all day, and then at night they all stayed- but In the morning all the dogs vanished but one, but one hour before we brought my mom to be cremated the dogs came back and grouped around as if to say goodbye. I swear by God that it was beautiful, marvelous.”
The stray dogs’ funeral tribute was something unlike workers there had ever seen there before because the animals aren’t regular strays. Urritia shares that her mother has always been good with animals and that she always took care of the dogs and about 20 cats.
It was an all-around unexplainable thing that took place when the dogs just showed up in the manner that they did. Several in Facebook photos Urritia posted show the dogs laying around the floor as they were a big part of the service.
Patricia Urritia was convinced everything was going to be alright when the stray dogs’ funeral appearance emerged. She says: “When I was in a moment of so much pain these dogs that came, they showed me that everything was going to be okay.”
