Just when you thought that “Survivor: Worlds Apart” may have started to hit a predictable stretch of post-merge episodes, tonight’s episode will serve up a double-dose of shock – quite literally – as a first-of-its-kind surprise twist is introduced into the game.
Dying to know what it is? Read on, and as far as the twist goes, the following will be a bit of a spoiler of tonight’s episode, so proceed with caution.
Here first is the official episode synopsis from CBS:
Episode 10 – “Bring The Popcorn” – A key advantage gives one castaway a game-changing opportunity, and another castaway lashes out when their integrity is questioned, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, April 22 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Analysis. As revealed just a couple of days ago by – who else? – EW.com’s Dalton Ross, this “key advantage” is an idea Jeff Probst and show producers have been toying around with for quite a while: The ability for one contestant to cast not just one, but two votes, at Tribal Council.
Say what? If you want more explanation on how this new power will work, here is the full EW.com article where Jeff explains all.
Now obviously, that is quite the game-changing shocker and it is sure to be a bit controversial. But Probst promises that the pay-off is glorious.
Beyond this new twist, we also know that tonight will feature the always emotional “letters from home” segment, as well as the famous “Survivor Auction.” Presumably then, this new power will be something that the contestants will be able to bid on, but the delicious food items available will surely distract a few of them from this ultimate opportunity for a game advantage.
Other questions going into tonight: Will Jenn rebound emotionally or is she just dead weight at this point? Will Rodney and Mike’s beef with one another spill over and cause major problems for the majority alliance? And how will the game change depending on who ends up with this two-vote advantage?
Things are about to get real interesting on Survivor. See you afterwards later tonight for the full recap and analysis!!!
