A beautiful yellow Lab mix was found as a stray in Waukegan, Illinois, and is sitting in the shelter waiting for a rescue to step up. This male dog is very sweet and gets along with other dogs. But he is really scared — either because of the shelter environment, because he’s away from his previous family, or because he was not well-treated in the past.
What they do know about him is that he is not aggressive at all. Sometimes, even non-agressive dogs may act aggressive when frightened. That is not the case with this sweet guy. He’s been gentle and submissive. And he’s young, only around a year-and-a-half years old.
For anyone willing to foster or any rescue willing to pull this Lab, please call Susan at 847-652-0358. She is an animal control officer who works tirelessly to find placement for the strays of Waukegan. With a willing foster, a rescue might be able to take over the care of this scared guy.
