Teresa Giudice did not expect federal officials to raid her New Jersey mansion this week. The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star reportedly tried to stop them from taking cash, jewelry, TVs and her daughters’ Christmas gifts from her home, but her crying and pleading didn’t work.
Radar Online reports that the Feds seized property at Joe and Teresa’s home to pay down the outstanding restitution the couple owes to the court, one that they failed to make payment arrangements for.
“Teresa was home and was absolutely stunned by the raid. She had no clue they were coming. She was absolutely hysterical, and begging them not to take the girls’ Christmas presents.”
Radar states that Joe and Teresa Giudice “failed submit any payment plan” for the $214,000 they still owe in restitution. Once it was determined that the couple didn’t make any attempt to repay what they owe, the Feds came to the ‘RHONJ’ stars’ home and seized a long list of valuable items, including the Giudice girls’ holiday gifts.
It looks like the Giudices were stashing some cash to have on hand while Teresa is away in prison and not earning a Bravo paycheck — in additfederal officials reportedly took “a large amount of cash” that was hidden in the wine cellar.
What will happen to the girls’ Christmas gifts and all of the other items that were seized from the Guidice’s home? All of the items that were removed from the home will be auctioned off and the money will be put in trust to pay off not only the restitution that is owed, but the Giudice’s outstanding debt to creditors to the tune of $14.3 million.
