Sunday night, the Beacon Journal reported on the fact that the Black Friday craze has already begun. Many stores started their pre-Black Friday sale over the weekend, or before that and others will start their sale Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. Stores like Target will offer some of their sale items online this year to reduce the number of people that show up in their stores on Black Friday morning or Thanksgiving day.
Black Friday is the day that retailers finally make it into the black (financially) for the first time in the year, and they want to capitalize on those sales number. So we are seeing the Black Friday sales start earlier and earlier each year. Leaving many to wonder if eventually the stores never close on Thanksgiving day, according to the Beacon Journal.
Getting the ads from the local newspaper on Thanksgiving day will give most people the information they need to know if they will brave the crowds on Black Friday this year. But many shoppers have already searched the Internet looking for the best deals and have made a plan of where they will go come Friday morning; some are already camping out in line at the store of their choice.
If you don’t plan to brave the stores this year on Black Friday, but you would not mind a few of the choice items that will be on sale, check to see if that retailer is offering the item for the same price online. More and more retailers are doing this in 2014, not only because it makes it convenient for the buyer, but reduces the number of people in the store as well.

Target will offer many of the same deals on their website on Thanksgiving day that they will offer later that night in stores and early on Black Friday morning. The pre-Black Friday Walmart sale is going on now, and will last for ten days. Specific items will go on sale at three different times including Thanksgiving day at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Friday morning at 6 a.m. and different items will be on sale at each one of these times. Walmart’s Black Friday ad includes hundreds of sale items and it begins on Thanksgiving night. Sears Black Friday 2014 sale includes deals on clothes, appliances, tools, luggage and more. Discounts of up to 30% off on Kenmore appliances, and 10% off other appliances; 24 months special financing is being offered, and they can get an extra 5% off appliances, or chose free delivery. Best Buy’s Black Friday will start in stores at 5 p.m. Thanksgiving day and close at 1 a.m., and then re-open at 8 a.m. on Black Friday morning.
