It’s pretty easy to play a drinking game while watching the FX series “Archer” — you’ll have a buzz in no time if you drink each time a character on the show drinks. In fact, as a Feb. 26 report from Indiewire points out, Sterling Archer needed six flasks full of booze to help him survive a commercial flight during the last episode of the show. If you do play an “Archer” drinking game, hopefully your libation of choice isn’t one of the questionable concoctions featured on the show.
Sterling Archer is the MacGyver of mixed drinks. When he doesn’t have a bar handy, he’ll use whatever he can find to feed his alcohol addiction. After all, if he doesn’t keeping drinking, he’s afraid that the cumulative hangover might kill him. For this don’t-try-this-at-home drink, he blended Tang with de-icing fluid.
According to UPROXX, Pam Poovey invented this stomach-churning abomination. Absinthe gives it a nice green hue, and milk makes it smooth and creamy. Just make sure that you use Poovey Farms brand milk, and wait for someone to ask you a question before you start gulping it down. Drink with your pointer finger in the air while you finish it off.
This is Archer’s somewhat racist-sounding spin on the Black Russian, and it’s the kind of drink you come up with when the butler who usually stocks your bar is enjoying the three days off he gets a year. According to the A.V. Club, It’s a not-so-smooth blend of tequila and coffee liquor. If you add breast milk to it, it becomes a Rusty Krieger.
Malory couldn’t find a stiff drink in space, so she created her own crazy concoction consisting of straight isopropyl alcohol (or rubbing alcohol) followed by an ISA Orange Drink packet chaser. Apparently mom and son have similar tastes when it comes to MacGyver-ing drinks. Don’t try this one at home, either.
Is cobra whiskey really a thing? Yes, it is. If you ever travel to Laos, you can purchase a bottle of whiskey with a real dead cobra inside of it. According to Spirits Review, the drink is thought to work as an aphrodisiac, which explains the company Archer was keeping while drinking it. The bizarre beverage can also be infused with peppers and spices. Sometimes you just need a little scale of the snake to take the edge off when you’re on a six-week-long, self-pitying bender.
Here’s one mixed drink that sounds like it actually be worth trying. It’s the kind of drink that’s perfect for a Snacklesnap photo — just put it in a pretty mug, top it with whipped cream, and garnish with peppermint sticks. It contains “hot cocoa, dark creme de cacao, a hint of creme de mint and peppermint schnapps.” It’s the perfect comfort beverage to enjoy after surviving a bucket list avalanche. Unfortunately, an alcohol expert over at Indiewire says that you might “die of a sugar coma” after slurping it down.
Would you try any of the mixed drinks that Sterling Archer and his coworkers have enjoyed on “Archer?”
