The Agatha Awards honor the “Traditional Mystery”. These are books that are in the tradition of Agatha Christie which contain no explicit sex and no excessive gore or gratuitous violence. These books are now termed “Malice Domestic” replacing the older term of “Cozy Mysteries”.
The 2014 Agatha Awards will be given for materials first published in the United States by a living author during the calendar year 2014 (January 1-December 31), either in hardcover, as a paperback original, or e-published by an e-publishing firm.
Attendees of Malice Domestic 26, which will be held May 1-3, 2015 will vote for the winners. The winners will be announced at the 2014 Agatha Awards banquet to be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015.
