Fan favorite Daryl Dixon may never find love. Despite having two different possibilities for a relationship with both Beth and Carol, it isn’t looking good for the redneck turned good guy. According to a Friday, Nov. 21 report by Inquisitr, the futures of “The Walking Dead” characters Beth and Carol do not look very promising.
Beth Greene’s future has always been in question. Since the introduction of her character in the second season, fans of “The Walking Dead” have been wondering how long she will survive the walker apocalypse. Beth started out not wanting to survive, seeing she attempted suicide back at the farm. It wasn’t until her time with Daryl in the woods, after the prison felt, she appeared to have any hope of successfully fighting walkers on her own.
Now, Beth is stuck in the hospital of horrors with the evil queen, police officer Dawn. Dawn made it clear that Beth is “not the greater good” and is expendable. Of course, Beth has always been expendable. She is just one of those characters on “The Walking Dead.” Based on the reports, Beth is expected to leave the hospital in a body bag, not even surviving past the mid-season finale.
Then there is Carol. Fans of “The Walking Dead” are wanting her and Daryl to take their relationship to the next level. After falling off the bridge in the van and being hit by one of the few cars left in Atlanta, Carol’s health is in question. The fact she was picked up and taken to the hospital of horrors certainly puts her life in even more peril.
According to the short video spoiler that was shown last week during “The Talking Dead,” Officer Dawn has ordered that the machines keeping Carol alive have been turned off. Beth attempts to plead with Dawn to keep the machines going. It appears that Officer Dawn does not see Carol as “the greater good” either.
Despite all the bad news for Beth and Carol, there is hope. Hope is about all the survivors have. Hope and Daryl, who has made his way back to Father Gabriel’s church to round up a “posse” to try to save Beth and his “Cherokee Rose.”
Rick Grimes is more than willing to head to the hospital of horrors and try to save Beth and Carol. However, the group splinters once again. Some must stay behind to keep baby Judith safe.
As usual for “The Walking Dead,” the best made plans do not go as expected. Things go horribly wrong when Daryl, Rick and the rest of the would-be rescuers run into trouble. The fans of “The Walking Dead” will not see the rescue of Beth and Carol in this episode.
That only leaves on episode before the mid-season finale for Beth and Carol to be saved. If Beth and Carol can be saved. With their futures unknowns, fans of “The Walking Dead” may have to wait until after the mid-season finale to see if Beth and Carol survive the hospital of horrors and the rescue attempt.
