This article is part two of a ten article series giving spotlight to the everlasting “little back dress”. Since the beginning of time, women have been in search of the most convenient way to be prepared for the never ending stream of parties and/or gatherings that go along with the holiday season.
Now with Halloween over, we have entered into the true holiday season. As pumpkins and corn stalks move over for the Thanksgiving turkey and dressing family feasts, calendars fill up for holiday parties and gatherings with family, friends and co-workers. Sunny skies are replaced with crisp winds. The darkness greets us in the mornings and brings us home at the end of the work day.
Trying to figure out what to wear just in the bi-polar temperature fluctuations of early fall is hard enough, much less trying to dress appropriately for the different events that may speckle one’s days during the holiday season.
This series provides for versatile styling, beginning with the simple, yet chic spaghetti strap dress. (See the slideshow for the visual styling options, including product purchase sites and pricing.)
For a day at the office, nothing is more appropriate than to pair the little black spaghetti strap dress with a pair of cranberry t-strap heels, matching brief tote and bolero. Set in a cubicle style work place, we threw in a lil high caliber gold bling with statement jewelry, indicating that this working gal is in a supervisory position.
Work out of the way, a quick change of some of the jewelry, shoes and coat and this work-a-holic is all set for a little after hours wind down. Here we’ve changed out the bolero for a stylish pea coat, and kicked off the t-strap for criss-cross sexy heels. We chose to change up earrings, bracelet, and added a belt. In minutes a business look is changed to party attire. Items may be stored in a small rolling suitcase or overnight tote and held in the trunk of a car. Best yet, the quick change can take place with no need to search out a restroom.
Hey, maybe your one of those girls who just likes to dress for hanging out with friends. We chose the full-on cowgirl look with fringe gone crazy jacket, boots and purse for a great weekend hanging out at the cabin in the mountains. Through in a few splashes of turquoise jewelry and a cowgirl hat … this girl is ready to ride! No rules here, though, this cowgirl may choose to take her look into the city, too!
