Blink 182’s Tom DeLonge believes in the idea that life exists on other planets. He also believes the world’s governments are conspiring together to keep this secret from the public. This dedicated believer has even launched a site called Strange Times which is devoted to exposing what he considers the truth about alien visitation to our planet.
For over two decades DeLonge has been laughed at and ridiculed over his mission to expose what he believes is an extraterrestrial cover-up. Tom is not in bad company however. Recently both NASA and the Vatican have come forward to say that the human race may soon find indisputable evidence of extraterrestrial life.
Paper Magazine contacted DeLonge shortly before the huge public blow-up between him and the other members of Blink-182 over his commitment to the band. Tom began speaking about mind control and a strange experience while on a camping trip in UFO hot spot Area 51. He also claims to have sources from inside the government feeding him information and he states his phone has been tapped.
DeLonge says is he concerned for his safety since there has been increasing instances of “weird stuff” going on since he began investigating the situation. He claims one individual he was corresponding with would wake up in the middle of the night to the sound of clicking and buzzing noises. Every morning at 4 a.m. the person would fall to the ground vomiting. This, according to Tom, is a telltale sign of mind-control experiments.
He says his message to the public is very simple. His desire is for people to understand that this phenomenon is real and it has been around forever. DeLonge references all the ancient religions explaining how their stories are actual accounts which were written down after witnessing unusual phenomenon.
According to Tom the governments of the world are attempting to replicate alien technology and are doing so in secret. He claims they feed us misinformation about the UFO phenomenon to cover up what they are really creating in their Black Projects. He says the CIA has always been trying to infiltrate UFO civilian research groups. Their goal is to control all the research, public awareness and information dissemination. Tom refers to the government’s activities as a psychological operation.
When describing his take on the government’s thought process, DeLonge says it goes like this, “We better get in there and make everyone go crazy, but at least it’s controlled, and when we’re in charge we can slowly let people know the phenomenon is real, but, don’t worry, we’ve been building something secret to help protect us. It’s a crazy thing, but it’s real.”
Tom is very serious about all of this. He claims to have read about 200 books on the subject, including books on physics, the mind, consciousness, ESP, telepathy, and the secret space program. DeLonge says he has been warned by those who work in the industry that he is stirring up a lot of trouble for himself.
One gentlemen told him, “You better be real f*****g careful about what you’re talking about. I’m not f*****g kidding with you. You better be really f*****g careful.” Tom explained how the guy called him up the following day to say, “I’ve had calls about you. If someone comes and asks you to get in their car, don’t f*****g get in the car.” Tom laughed as he said, “And that’s the s**t I’m dealing with.”
Paper Magazine asked him to talk about a UFO encounter he experienced just outside of a secret base known as China Lake, which is on the flight path to Area 51. DeLonge described how his group camped out at an area called Tonopah. Previously a university professor told him how communicating with extraterrestrial phenomenon takes place in the frequency of thought. In order to make contact with extraterrestrials he says you must shut your mind down and project your thoughts. His group decided to try this technique.
Tom described what happened next, “I woke up right around three a.m. My whole body felt like it had static electricity, and I open my eyes and the fire is still going, and there’s a conversation going on outside the tent. It sounded like there were about 20 people there, talking. And instantly my mind goes, OK, they’re at our campsite, they’re not here to hurt us, they’re talking about s**t, but I can’t make out what they’re saying. But they’re working on something. Then I close my eyes and wake up, and the fire is out and I have about three hours of lost time.”
DeLonge described the chatter sounding similar to English, but he was unable make out any words. He said even though he couldn’t move his body he never felt threatened. Tom feels our civilization has already been contacted by an alien life forms. He is taking a wait and see attitude as to whether this information becomes public knowledge.
“Mark my words,” he says. “They’re going to find the microbial life that they’ve been talking about on Mars and then…we’re gonna find remnants of other types of life. But really, what’s going to be there are remnants of other civilizations, architecture, old monuments, machinery, things that have been fossilized, whatever.”
