Jesus warned followers “to count the cost” and “to pick up your cross and follow Me”. There should be no illusion that there clearly is a price to pay for becoming a believer.
The false teaching claiming that all would be sunshine and roses is only accurate by the fact that one can receive painful sunburns from the sunshine and be painfully stung by the thorns from the roses. Suffering eventually will take place.
There are many Christians and non-believers that turn away from God after suffering episodes of tribulation in their personal lives. Perplexity is generated when those believe God’s grace and favor will keep troubling circumstances from hurting them. That is not what the Bible teaches.
When, not if, things including death come knocking with trials and problems, rough times will be the ultimate divider of truth and fallacy to those that do something or nothing with God. Who you really are will be exposed.
The 21 martyred Coptic Christians that were beheaded by the cruel ISIS fanatics had plenty of opportunity to change their mind regarding Jesus Christ. Knowing their fate from those infected with the spirit of the anti-Christ, millions if not billions stand in awe at a moment of terror that should have caused at least one of the 21 Christian believers to fold.http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/02/17/pope-honors-egyptian-copts-beheaded-by-isis-in-libya/
The only thing the 21 souls did was call on the Name of Jesus. It was both a magnificent and terrible demonstration of unyielding Christian faith. Where did this courage come from? Anointed followers of the gospel know where this ferocious bravery came from.
There was another deadly demonstration by 147 college students who were sought out and martyred for the crime of being Christians by the same demonically inspired forces that touted the spirit of the anti-Christ. Confessing Christ in the face of death is an action even the most faithful believer wonders about.
In Hebrews 9:27, the verse “it is appointed unto man once to die, then the Judgment” haunts many whether believer or non-believer. “What is my appointed time?” The Bible stipulates that the power of death is held by Lucifer the Destroyer who collects souls based on utterances of John 10:10—“the thief comes but to steal, kill, and destroy”.
Jesus warned that “if thy persecuted Me, they will persecute you”. Only the degree of persecution is promised to believers which does not exclude the sting of death.
There is religious persecution going on by forces of the anti-Christ in this country as incidents as Columbine and the ongoing killing of ministers of God are not as egregious as overseas. It is the same spirit of the anti-Christ driving forces in this country.
The growth from the spirit of the anti-Christ or anti-Yahweh God clearly is multiplying. The deception of merging the Arab Allah and the Yahweh God of the Torah/Bible has worked to infiltrate the spirit of the anti-Christ under the smokescreen of confusion. There are various dark forces as work but the same evil source.
There are far too many that reject that evil exists, another effective deception by the spirit of the anti-Christ. The Torah/Bible states otherwise and is a matter of what authority one accepts. The deliberate crashing of a jetliner filled with 150 souls should give pause to anyone failing to recognize the co-pilot’s action was evil personified.
A myriad of emotions, opinions, and beliefs were displayed as realization manifested from the poor 150 souls accompanying the “deranged” co-pilot to their collective deaths.
Perishing is a defining thought and action, and it is something everyone will face since death does stalk one as a predator. There will be an ultimate cost to pay whether there is a belief in God or not both at that moment of death and later.
It is the double jeopardy reality of existence by producing a physical cost and spiritual expense.
There are three roles that will play out; those that make things happen, those that watch things happen, and those that say, “What happened?”.
