As midwinter temperatures jog up a bit, area runners zoom off to frosty 5Ks, snowshoe jaunts, zoo runs, charity races for January’s third weekend.
Runners, volunteers, and spectators are wise to dress for the weather and to check event specifics before attending. Race-day registrations and packet pickups may be permitted at some events, but others may have closed entries in advance. Last-minute changes and cancellations may occur, especially considering sudden winter weather changes.
These winter running events are scheduled in and around Wisconsin from Friday, January 16, through Sunday, January 18.
